"Extremely pleased with their work! When I say I'm a picky customer, I really mean it (I'm a Training Manager for an HVAC manufacturer). These guys showed up precisely on time, were extremely courteous and professional, and did an outstanding job on my system. They were very careful moving the equipment to my mechanical room (not an easy task), did a very neat job on the install, and cleaned up so that everything was spotless when they left. I even gave them an opportunity to do a "shortcut" on my install, but they refused and said "that's not the way we do it." It was easy to tell that these techs took PRIDE in the work they were doing. I can't even begin to tell you how much I would recommend this small business from New Haven, IN to do any HVAC work. "Our Sunday started with the air-conditioner not cooling our home. Monday same thing but not sure if it just couldnt keep up with the high temps. Tuesday decided to call Hartmans heating & Air Conditioning Very. Busy but said they would send a tec out on Thursday. Tec came we talked and he went to work to find the problem, We need a new start up switch , it was installed and after all his checking he gave us a smile and said we are back with the air conditioning working,, We have been with Hartmans for many years and are always so grateful, thankful for their help. "Brian showed me what was wrong with my air conditioning unit and explained everything so I could understand. He spoke to Vicki at the office regarding a needed part that would have to be ordered. They could have slapped a generic part on, but it would have only been a short-term fix. Instead of taking the easy way out, they are getting the part made for my unit so it will stay fixed, and they are coming back to finish the job as soon as they have the part. When you're in the market for a new HVAC system, look for one that has an electronically commutated motor (ECM) outfitted for variable speeds as part of the furnace or air conditioner. These motors offer significant advantages over permanent split capacitor (PSC) motors because they use less electricity, run more quietly and adapt their speeds to conditions in your home. Also known as a variable-speed blower motor, an ECM with a motor controller can operate at whatever speed is needed to meet the conditioning needs of your home and the specific airflow and filtering factors in your HVAC system. For example, if your air filter is dirty, a variable-speed ECM will ramp up its speed to compensate for the restricted airflow.
