"Our Sunday started with the air-conditioner not cooling our home. Monday same thing but not sure if it just couldnt keep up with the high temps. Tuesday decided to call Hartmans heating & Air Conditioning Very. Busy but said they would send a tec out on Thursday. Tec came we talked and he went to work to find the problem, We need a new start up switch , it was installed and after all his checking he gave us a smile and said we are back with the air conditioning working,, We have been with Hartmans for many years and are always so grateful, thankful for their help. To illustrate the impact that women in HVAC history have had on the industry, we would like to discuss two important standouts - Margaret Engels and Alice Parker.
The concept of HVAC has been around for thousands of years. The ancient Romans and Greeks used channels under marble flooring to distribute heat. However, it was until 1902 that the modern A/C idea was launched by Willis Carrier. Today's systems have experienced tremendous technological upgrades that make them significantly different from the older ones. Let's explore the recent HVAC history that has contributed to that.
