"Our Sunday started with the air-conditioner not cooling our home. Monday same thing but not sure if it just couldnt keep up with the high temps. Tuesday decided to call Hartmans heating & Air Conditioning Very. Busy but said they would send a tec out on Thursday. Tec came we talked and he went to work to find the problem, We need a new start up switch , it was installed and after all his checking he gave us a smile and said we are back with the air conditioning working,, We have been with Hartmans for many years and are always so grateful, thankful for their help. Give them a calll."

"My toilet was not functioning correctly and i was going to call someone to fix... my son in law said call Hartman...i think they do plumbing, too. I didn't know that! Hartman has taken care of my heating/air since 2001 so i didn't even hesitate to call! Brad was great and was able to remedy the issue quickly. He was polite and knowledgeable! "We purchased our home just a few days ago and the heat was not working, and we were in single digit temps in this area. Josh, our tech, came out and checked everything out and discovered it was a programming issue on the digital thermostat. He set it correctly and heat is now working. Winters can be harsh in our region, so most of us are not going to have the opportunity to open a window now and then for ventilation. We still need some fresh air to improve our indoor air quality over the winter. Ventilation, be it an open window or a dedicated ventilation system, can get fresh air in and let stale air out.
Closing up the house and turning on the furnace sure makes things cozy in winter -- although sometimes it's a little too cozy for comfort. The fact is, an airtight home can be downright stuffy.
Flinging open a window to get some fresh air may seem counter-intuitive. With the furnace on, aren't we wasting money, letting warm air out and cold air in? Yes, if you leave the window open for long, or open it too wide, that might be the case. But once the furnace cycles off, it really won't hurt to crack a window now and then to let in some fresh air, and let some of the stale air out.
