"I signed up for a service plan, as I’m not much of a handyman myself. They had a variety of payment options with the service plan, so I was able to start monthly payments, which works best for me. Our service person was polite, and he explained everything in terms I had no problems understanding. I had an additional issue with an attic duct being chewed through. He got up there and got pictures right away so they could put together an estimate. Same visit, no hassle. And because of the service plan, there was no charge for the system check. I just let him in, showed him around, and he worked his magic. No regrets here. There’s a very good chance I’ll just keep up this service plan for the entire time I own my home."

"Furnace wasn’t working on Friday morning after thanksgiving. Called Hartman Brothers. They were able to get here in the early afternoon. They diagnosed the problem and got it fixed quickly. Communication was excellent. Price was more than I expected, but understand that parts for 20+ year old furnace are not inexpensive."

We also had questions about our thermostat settings and while in our home, Jim researched and found the answer. All gas furnaces use a heat exchanger to transfer the heat the gas creates. Normally, heat exchangers sit next to the furnace burners and heat up just like a pan on the stove. These parts, made from metal, absorb heat and the air that the blower sends over it warms. It enters the ductwork and heats your home.
