"Came home from work to find that my furnace wasn't working. Since the temperatures were extremely mild for November, I just left a message for them to call me the next day. Received a call by 7:25 am and told that the repair man would be there in approximately a half hour. He was at my house by 8:30 and he had it back running within 45 minutes. He went the extra step and made sure that there was no other possible issues before he left. Under normal conditions, you shouldn't have to add refrigerant to your HVAC system. The refrigerant doesn't get consumed – it travels in a loop through the system, absorbing heat at the indoor evaporator coil, and releasing it at the condenser coil into the outdoor air. When there's an HVAC leak, you may be able to detect it by these telltale signs:
