"Brian showed me what was wrong with my air conditioning unit and explained everything so I could understand. He spoke to Vicki at the office regarding a needed part that would have to be ordered. They could have slapped a generic part on, but it would have only been a short-term fix. Instead of taking the easy way out, they are getting the part made for my unit so it will stay fixed, and they are coming back to finish the job as soon as they have the part. Replacing insulation may enhance indoor comfort and increase energy savings. The question is: When is replacing insulation actually required?
Under normal conditions, insulation materials don’t “wear out” or simply deteriorate. However, when affected by specific events, insulation may degrade and no longer effectively inhibit heat transfer. Also, other factors must be considered such as advances in composition and manufacture of insulating materials now on the market.
