Lowering Your Heating And Cooling Load: A Landscaping StrategyReducing your home's heating and cooling load can be a homegrown strategy. The terms refer to the amount of energy required to maintain a comfortable interior temperature.  In winter, that’s the heating load, and in the summer it's the cooling load. A house with too much of either is energy inefficient and costing you money. Methods to reduce the load on your home include weatherizing, adding insulation and sealing ducts. But a natural “green” option exists, too. Energy-saving landscaping positions trees to lower the heating and cooling load by blocking solar heat in summer while still allowing the sun to warm the house in winter. This is accomplished by considering the sun’s seasonal track across your property.

"We were so impressed with our repairman! He explained everything very thoroughly of what repairs he needed to make to help our furnace to run more efficient. Also, when we called for a repairman, he was at our house within 30 minutes! WOW!"

"Dad called for service and Hartman’s were there just a couple of hours later, found the problem and replaced the part. I can’t say enough about their exceptional service and techs! We have used them for years and can always count on them to come through."

"Ked came on time for my semi-annual scheduled appointment, checked out the furnace and changed the filter. He spent a considerable amount of time trying to track and fix a problem with my smart hub, but stayed with it until we think it is fixed. This is the third HVAC system I have purchased from Hartman Brothers over the past 40 years and I have always been pleased with their service, product and personnel. That is why I still use them. Took them awhile to convince me the annual maintenance program is a good deal, but with all the electronics in the new systems, the system needs care and feeding from a professional! I am glad I finally listened!"
