"I signed up for a service plan, as I’m not much of a handyman myself. They had a variety of payment options with the service plan, so I was able to start monthly payments, which works best for me. Our service person was polite, and he explained everything in terms I had no problems understanding. I had an additional issue with an attic duct being chewed through. He got up there and got pictures right away so they could put together an estimate. Same visit, no hassle. And because of the service plan, there was no charge for the system check. I just let him in, showed him around, and he worked his magic. No regrets here. There’s a very good chance I’ll just keep up this service plan for the entire time I own my home."

"On Saturday, my water heater spewed lots of water in the utility portion of my garage. Unfortunately, my furnace was soaked. After my call to Hartman Bros., Darian arrived within the hour and dried out the furnace and re-started it. Split-system central air conditioners make our lives much more comfortable, but their outdoor components don't always look so good in our yards. One way to make the outside unit – that gray box that holds vital components of your A/C – look less conspicuous is to use landscaping. An added benefit is that the cover and shade from the landscaping may actually make the unit run more efficiently, as long as good landscaping tips are followed.
