"Brian showed me what was wrong with my air conditioning unit and explained everything so I could understand. He spoke to Vicki at the office regarding a needed part that would have to be ordered. They could have slapped a generic part on, but it would have only been a short-term fix. Instead of taking the easy way out, they are getting the part made for my unit so it will stay fixed, and they are coming back to finish the job as soon as they have the part. Like most things, residential ductwork doesn't last forever. At some point, a home's ducts will stop serving an effective role in your home's forced-air HVAC system. They'll begin leaking air or allowing dirty air to infiltrate your home, and they may get clogged with dust and debris. This will happen even sooner if they've been designed or installed incorrectly, or haven't been maintained properly. In most cases, faulty ducts can be repaired and cleaned, but in severe situations they may need replacement.
